What is the NeLocker vault?
A private home for your markdown documents — notes, plans, briefs, AI profiles — that any of your AI tools can reach. Save a document once and it's available in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-capable AI, on any device. You can also create and edit the same files on nelocker.com.
How do I save a document from my AI?
Create a free NeLocker account, generate your vault key (it starts with nlv_) at nelocker.com/account, and add the free NeLocker connector to your AI. Then just say: 'Save this document to my NeLocker vault — my key is nlv_…'. The connector's save_doc, list_docs and read_doc tools do the rest.
Is my vault private?
Yes. Documents are private to your account (enforced with row-level security in the database), your vault key is stored only as a hash, and regenerating the key instantly revokes the old one.
Does it cost anything?
No — the vault is included with a free NeLocker account, like everything else on NeLocker. There's no paywall; the site is community-supported.
Which AI tools does it work with?
Any AI that supports MCP connectors — Claude (claude.ai and desktop), ChatGPT, Cursor, and more. One vault, shared across all of them.
